SORRY!

All of my limited run kits are discontinued. This page was left here just for reference.

                                in O scale

Features:

  • Full building kit
  • A replica of model railroad history
  • Includes crates and signs
  • Rear truck service loading door
  • Windows cast in but easy to paint
  • Lots of signs (pic sign shows one different from original)

This kit is a near copy of Frank Ellison's "Spot Cash" building he had created in the early 1950's for his "Delta Lines" layout. I moved the original model's side loading door to the rear, otherwise it is very true to the original plans published in the August 1952 issue of Toy Trains magazine.

It is a full building which when completed measures 9-3/8 by 5-1/4 inches at the base (not including the dock), and 7-1/4 inches high.

Previous urethane kit building experience is recommended.

  • Large overall face size
  • Deco era style
  • Loading door for truck or rail
  • Separate window castings
  • Window and roof graphics

This is a low relief urethane kit based on an industry building in Chicago.

Windows are cast separately for easy painting. The masters are hand made with my new brick technique as on the apartment building. Backing strips supplied support the large wall.

The finished model is 14-1/2" high by 13" wide by 1/2" deep. Kit includes paper window treatments, clear styrene, complete assembly and painting instructions, roof graphics for the backdrop and many signs (see below). Previous urethane kit building experience is recommended.

~ The Riverside Apartments ~    in O scale

Features:

  • Large overall face size
  • 1¾ inches deep
  • Ornate brickwork
  • Decorative entranceway
  • Windows separate from wall
  • Over 25 castings
  • Great curb appeal!

This is a low relief urethane kit that represents an apartment building in a near west suburb of Chicago. It can also be used as a hotel front (no hotel signs are supplied). The building is circa 1920's and sports decorative appointments.

Windows are cast separately, which means they are much easier to paint than when cast into the wall. The masters are hand made with a new brick technique that gives a low relief, so the mortar lines are not too deep yet deep enough for drybrushing or other mortaring techniques.

The finished model is 12-3/8" wide by 11-3/4" tall by 1-3/4" deep. Kit includes paper window treatments, clear styrene, styrene for the rooves, complete assembly and painting instructions and date plates. Previous urethane kit building experience is recommended.
